Q: I’m not sure if I want to take a course or not, can I try it first?
Yes, it’s possible to do an introductory dive. This dive will be conducted as the first confined water session of the Open Water course. If you continue with the Open Water course, there will be no extra charge for this dive.
If you don’t want to continue, you just pay this dive and it will be charged as an introductory dive.
Q: Do you offer diving all year round?
Yes, we offer diving all year round.
Q: What are the water temperatures?
Water temperatures ranges from 20° C in the winter months to 29° C in the summer.
Dahab has a superb climate all year around and great water temperature, From May to September, the air temperatures ranges between 30° C and 42°C, and from October through April between 20° C and 29° C.
Q: What’s the max. dive time?
The max. dive time is 60 minutes.
Q: I’ve lost my certification card and/or logbook. Can I still dive with you?
Yes, you can still dive with us. If you are a PADI certified diver, we can check your diving status in the PADI system. Your first dive will be a refresher dive; in this dive the instructor will refresh some skills, makes sure that your buoyancy is good and that you feel comfortable in the water. A supplement will be charged for this refresher dive.
Q: Are there fixed dates for starting courses?
It’s possible to start on any date/day of the week.
Q: What’s the max. depth?
Our instructors will guide to 30 meter on recreational dives or to the limit of your diving certification. If you have a deep specialty of going to 40 meter and a buddy of equal level and you can show your insurance allows you to dive to this depth, you are allowed to 40 meter.
Q: If I have been diving, how long should I wait before flying?
There should be 24 hours between the last dive and your flight.
